FAQ

Answers, without the corporate fog.

How are your abayas this affordable when other brands charge $300+?

Honest answer: we cut out middle layers and we're running a tight line right now — mostly pashmina abayas in two finishes. Fewer SKUs means fewer markups to cover. We work direct, ship from Plano after QC, and price for the person actually wearing the piece.

Are these real Kashmiri pashmina cashmere?

No. We use pashmina the way it is commonly used in modest wear — to describe the softness and drape of the fabric, not a literal fiber claim. Our abayas are pashmina through and through; we do not spell out mill blends on the site.

Where are your abayas made?

With small-batch workshop partners overseas — specialists who've sewn for boutiques for years. What's consistent is inspection in Plano before anything ships.

How is the quality at this price?

Honest answer: it's good, not runway-level. The fabric is soft and drapes well. The cuts are modern and considered. The finishing inside the seams is clean — not loose threads or visible sloppy serging. Our pieces are built to be worn often and to last years, not to be archived. If you want $500 abaya quality, that's a different brand.

How does sizing work?

There is only one SKU length — 56" from shoulder seam to hem — and one relaxed fit block across the line. Compare that number to dresses or abayas you already own before you checkout; read the sizing page for how we describe the body silhouette.

What if 56 inches is too long or too short on me?

We do not hem or lengthen after purchase — all sales are final. Message us beforehand with your height and how you wear heels day-to-day; we will be honest whether this drop is meant for you.

Do you make custom pieces?

Not currently. We're focused on pashmina abayas in two finishes — and doing those really well.

How long does shipping take?

US standard is 5-7 business days. Expedited is 2-3. International ranges from 7-21 days depending on country. Full breakdown on the shipping page.

Do you have a physical store?

Not yet. We're direct-to-consumer, based in Plano, Texas. We do occasional pop-ups in the DFW area — those get announced via the email list.

Are you a Muslim-owned business?

Yes.

Do you offer wholesale or stockist relationships?

For boutiques that align with how we operate — small, considered, customer-first — yes, we're open to conversations. Email wholesale@noorelibaas.com with a bit about your store.

Will my piece look exactly like the photos?

It should. We shoot in daylight or straightforward studio lighting, without aggressive color editing. Screens still shift tone — laptops vs phones rarely match. Compare the numbered color name to the hang tag when your box arrives.

Why do some shades sell out but not others?

Dyes are cut in batches. When a dye lot is gone it's gone until we reorder cloth — messaging us lets you know exactly which colors are sewn next.
